We are proud to continue to develop our longstanding links with Yei Kindergraten school in South Sudan.

Our link ambassador is Carolyn Murray who sends updates from her visits to Yei Kindergarten,  each year. 

Pupils at Naseby C of E send letters, pictures, cards and prayers to their friends at Yei Kindergarten, which Carolyn kindly takes on our behalf during her visits.

Staff at Naseby C of E, collect much needed items of clothing to send to staff at Yei Kindergarten. 

We are lucky to have Carolyn as our link ambassador, who comes into Naseby regularly when she returns home, to talk to the pupils in collective worship about her visits to Yei. Carolyn helps our pupils understand what life, learning and school is like for our friends at Yei Kindergarten. This helps our children to understand the differences of living in a different part of the world and as part of a culture that is different to our own. 

Our most exciting moment so far has been linking with our friends at Yei via video link for the first time in December 2023! 300 pupils at Yei were sat in rows, arms gathered to perform a local African song for us. Naseby pupils and staff wore Santa hats and sang Christmas carols to our friends, as the snow began to fall outside!
